Workshops & Teachers

Workshops from Friday evening to Monday evening included:

  • Big Sings
  • Easy Songs
  • Singing For Peace
  • Taizé

All songs were taught by ear by our team of Natural Voice Network teachers: Dee Jarlett, Ali Orbaum, Claire Anstee, Bruce Knight, Joanna Harvey, Fiona Carlyon, Joe Howlett and special guest teacher Dom Stichbury.

Activities & Facilities

Children and teens/tweens were welcome to join in the main marquee. Over-5s had their own marquee and activities during daytime workshops.

Other highlights were spectacular storytelling from Steph Brittain, morning Qigong with Nicola Ley, evening cabaret with Rina Vergano, singing round the campfire, and jam sessions where people brought out their instruments.

There was a lovely Thali evening and a cream tea at the market, adding to the relaxed, sociable feel of the weekend.

Booking & Prices

Whitsun Voice Camp is my favourite weekend of the year. There is a general feeling of warmth, welcome, love and friendliness.

There’s always a wonderful mixture of songs, some relatively easy, others with a bit more challenge, all taught by inspirational teachers who are also very down to earth and human.

Sometimes I stand in the middle of the group, with everyone singing in four-part harmony around me, and wonder: am I allowed to enjoy something this much?

The camp takes place on a beautiful campsite with a gorgeous view over the Blackdown Hills. I love the homemade cream tea on the last day. Singing from dawn till dusk, the cabaret, campfire singing, jamming together: it’s my annual dose of heaven.
